The Dartmoor Inn has three cosy guest bedrooms, a restaurant where you can enjoy award-winning food made with fresh, seasonal ingredients and a bar serving local ales.
It’s located in the peaceful village of Lydford on the western fringes of Dartmoor National Park, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
Lydford is best known for its spectacular gorge and the 30-metre ‘White Lady’ waterfall, but the village also boasts a 12th century church and a medieval castle. All three are within walking distance of The Dartmoor Inn. Dartmoor is a rugged landscape punctuated by granite tors, deep wooded valleys, fast flowing rivers and vast open spaces. Not surprisingly, the area is a mecca for nature lovers, as well as outdoor enthusiasts as it offers everything from pony trekking to great opportunities for walking and cycling.
The historic market town of Tavistock is just a 20-minute drive away, and the cities of Exeter and Plymouth can be reached in around 45 minutes.
